ODESSA - Lacie Nickcole "Nikki" Dodson, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home in Odessa. Nikki was born in Odessa on January 17, 1980 to Manton Ray Dodson, Jr. and the late Linda Catherine (Daniels) Dodson. She graduated from Permian High School. Over the years, she worked at Wal-Mart and Furr's and had made many friends there. Most recently she worked as a secretary and nursery attendant at Highland United Methodist Church. She dearly loved the children there and they knew it and loved her in return.

Nikki was full of joy and never let anything upset her. A loyal and supportive friend, she would do everything she could for others and was always there to lend a hand. She loved movies and movie trivia, enjoyed games and puzzles, and collected unicorns. She was a devoted aunt to Hayden and Peyton and loved cheering them on whether it was sports, orchestra, academics or life in general. She loved her dad, Butch and her sister and brother, Lainie and Matt. She especially enjoyed giving them a hard time. An animal lover, her fur babies - three cats and her little dog, Max, were very special to her and she even insisted on having Max with her for the church directory photo.

Those left to cherish her love and memory include her father: Butch Dodson; siblings: Lainie Kidd and her husband Kevin, and Matt Dodson; niece and nephew: Peyton and Hayden Kidd; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her mother: Linda Dodson, and grandparents: Ray and Reba Daniels and Manton and Berneice Dodson, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 21st from 1:00 to 9:00 pm. Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 am. Pastor Jon Hendricks will officiate.

Services are entrusted to Acres West and condolences may be sent to the family online at acreswestfuneral.com.
