Mary Carrasco Obituary

ODESSA - Mary Bueno Carrasco, age 85 passed away peacefully December 18, 2020. She was born August 1, 1935 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Arnulfo and Ysabel Bueno. She eloped and married her longtime friend and love, Carlos Carrasco Jr. in July of 1953 who preceded her in death in 1985. Mary is preceded in death by her parents: Arnulfo and Ysabel Bueno, devoted husband: Carlos Carrasco Jr., son: Carlos Carrasco III, daughters: Joann Carrasco and Raquel Rodriquez, sisters: Mercedes Winer, Yolanda Sarabia and brother: Alejandro Bueno. Mary was the beloved mother of Susie Carrasco and Ernesto Carrasco, sister of Irene Adams, Arnulfo (Arnold) Bueno, Joe Bueno, and Daniel Bueno, Grandmother of (4) grandsons and (6) granddaughters, and a proud Great Grandmother of (12) boys and (13) girls. Mary was a master of loving her children, family and friends around her. She loved taking care of children and was a mother figure to many. She was the strongest woman anyone could have ever met. She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. She was our fierce Mama Bear. Until her condition made it impossible Mary was an unstoppable woman. She would always keep herself busy. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, was highly skilled with knitting and enjoyed her favorite morning show Price is Right. Memorial Services will be announced later by the family. The family would like to thank, Star Hospice, Texas Home Health, Nurses Unlimited, Dr. Madhu and staff, and her nurse Crysti McDonald who visited her weekly for many years. Very special thank you to her daughter Susie Carrasco and granddaughter Marissa Moralez who provided invaluable care. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
