Maxine Parks Obituary
She was born in Tulsa, OK on October 24, 1927 to Royce Maxey Davenport and Lillian Bolton.
Maxine was a Cadet Nurse at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK. On July 3, 1947, she married Lewis Parks in Temple, Texas. She received her Master's in Psychiatry Nursing from the University of Texas. She retired from Odessa College after 34 years as a professor in nursing.
She was preceded in death by her son Gary Parks and her brother Robert Davenport.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Lewis Parks of Odessa; daughter Carla Duree and husband Bob of Odessa; granddaughter Kim Marshall and husband Gary of Midland; grandson James Arnold and wife Mari of Albuquerque, as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1:00 pm Sunset Memorial Chapel with Reverend Clydell Chapman, officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
