Michael Lewis Obituary
He was born July 19, 1957, in Hobbs, N.M., to Edward Lee Lewis Sr. and Gladys Lewis. He married Beth Ann Williams of Mesquite, Texas, in April of 1997. He was the owner of Mike Lewis Insurance for 24 years. He was a wonderful father to his children. He had a great sense of humor and loved to sing and play his guitar. He was an avid hunter. He had many friends. Mike was actively involved in his church, Life Change Baptist Church, and taught Sunday school.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Lewis Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Lewis of Odessa; mother, Gladys Lewis of Odessa; son, Adam and Pam Lewis of Odessa; daughter, Amy and husband Alex Campos of Odessa; daughter, Kaytlynn Lewis of Odessa; son, Dakota Lewis of Odessa; daughter, Tiffany Loggins of Odessa; brother, Edward Lee Lewis Jr. and wife Julie Lewis of Spring; sister, Cathy and husband Leonard Betzelf of Odessa; sister, Sharon and husband Buddy Burns of Odessa; and numerous nieces. He had two grandchildren.
Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Frank W. Wilson Chapel. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. He will be greatly missed.

Beth, Tina and I are out of town til late next week but heard of Mike's passing. I have known him 24 yrs and knew him to be a fine man. He was very proud of you. He was one I trusted his opinion. He was very GOOD at what he did and treated people they way he wanted to be treated. I know many will miss him. I know I will. Any possible way we may help out just let me know!! Beth, I feel your pain and I am so sorry. I met Mike in 1991(or92) while he was working for Metlife and he tried to help me get onboard with him. I always enjoyed our conversations and he did have a great sense of humor. I called the Office this Wednesday to talk to him as he(and you) have been trying to help me with starting my own Farmers Agency. He will be greatly missed. Dear Beth & Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Always remember that God is the same in the valley as he is on the mountain top.This is a very difficult time to have to deal with so many things, but God will Bless you and keep you, and see you through all of this. The official obituary for Mike Lewis will be printed on Sunday and Monday the 19th and 20th. This is just a rememberance submitted by other members of the family and is a very sincere and thoughtful gesture. It should also be noted a trust has been set up in Mike's children's names at Southwest Heritage Credit Union in lieu of flowers. God Bless!
