Ollie Delarnce Atkins Sr.

ODESSA Ollie Delarnce Atkins, Sr., age 75, of Odessa, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, in Midland, Texas.
He was born in Texarkana, Texas to A. D. and Annie Atkins on March 1, 1937. He went to school in Texarkana. Ollie married Gladine Chisom on September 1, 1967 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was self-employed with Ollie's Flag Company. He was a Veteran of World War II and served in the Army.
Ollie Delarnce Atkins, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Pearly Mae Chisom and an infant son, Marcus Atkins.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Gladine Atkins; his children, Erika Atkins, Ollie Atkins, Jr., Shawn Atkins, Yolanda and Derrick Frazier, Melvin Atkins, Michael Atkins, Greg Atkins, Heather and Chad Butler, Chasity and Juan Rodriguez; his brother, Felton and Marie Atkins; sister, Ola and Tiny Chisom; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also spent the last years of his life with his best friend and girlfriend Mildred Wilkins.
Visitation with the family will be 5-7 PM Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, February 1, 2013, in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials may be given to your local Veterans Association.
