TEGART, Dr. Robert Lewis

Robert died February 3, 2014 after courageously battling cancer.
Left to mourn and celebrate his life are Robert's wife, Ruth; his four sons, Keith, Neil, Doug, Ian (Ann Quinn); his stepdaughter, Zeta (Ayaz Charania); three granddaughters, Jenna and Aniqa Charania and Morgan Tegart; and one grandson, Murdoch Tegart; as well as other relatives and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his father Bruce Armstrong Tegart (May 23, l988); his mother Dorothy Jean Tegart (September 3, l996); his sister Myra Jacquin (February 25, 2002); and his ex-wife Janet C. Tegart (June 16, 2002). Robert was also predeceased by other loved relatives on both sides of the family.
Robert graduated from the U of A Dental School in 1956. He was a pioneer in Endodontics and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in 1970. Robert was also a sessional instructor at the dental school at the U of A for some 40 years. He retired from practice in 2003.
Bob had many interests in addition to his work. He skied, sailed, and enjoyed scuba-diving and other adventurous activities. Family, friends and grandchildren provided Bob with his greatest joys.
As Bob requested, his cremation has taken place and a family Memorial celebrating Bob's life was held February 8, 2014.
