My deepest and most sincere condolences go out to everyone close to Ms. Smith. She was such an important pillar in our community. I´ll never forget all the help she has given me. She has helped me learn many important life lessons and grow so much as a person. She truly did have such a positive impact on my life. She will be missed, but she will not be forgotten. Stacie was a remarkable person. She mentored me during my time as a counseling graduate student and colleague at UTPB. Stacie would often quiz me in the area of mental health counseling, helping me to better learn and understand the different modalities of
counseling. I will miss her and her ability to listen and sense when things were troubling a person. Moreover, I will miss her laughter and sense of humor. Rest in peace.
