Alice Loretta Malley Esposto passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in her home in Avella. She was born August 21, 1926, in North Braddock.
Alice was a 1944 graduate of Scott High School in North Braddock.
She married her high school sweetheart, Dominic Esposto, in 1948 and they moved to Avella in 1949.
Dominic and Alice bought Breezy Heights Tavern in Avella in 1954. Owning and operating Breezy Heights was Alice's lifelong passion. She never forgot a customer and loved greeting everyone with her big smile.
Alice is survived by her children, Richard M. Esposto of Washington, Lauren Goodman of Pittsburgh, and Sally (Randy) McClanahan of Birmingham, Ala. Alice is also survived by seven grandchildren, Alison (Jeremy) Johnson of Marlboro, N.J., Josh (Jessica) Goodman of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Jim (Kari) Esposto of Wilmette, Ill., Daniel Goodman of Kirksville, Mo., Joe Goodman of Pittsburgh, Matt (Lauren) Esposto of Chicago, Ill., and Richard Jr. (Adrienne) Esposto of Boston, Mass.; and nine great-grandchildren, Samantha, Emma, Gabriel, Sydney, Benjamin, Hudson, Hallie, Jack and William. Also surviving are many nieces, a nephew, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Alice was the last of her immediate family. Preceding Alice in death were her parents, Michael Malley and Anna Zajak Malley; siblings, Marge Krzywicki, Mildred Stanks, Mary Edna Brunk, Michael Malley, Jr.; son-in-law, Dr. Richard Goodman; and daughter-in-law, Frances Esposto.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 29, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz officiating.
Burial will be in Independence Cemetery, Avella.
