Alice Metzler Obituary
Alice Ann Jones Metzler, 81, of Ellsworth passed away Saturday evening, August 7, 2021, at Concordia Hospice of Washington, Donnell House.
She was born May 30, 1940, in Bentleyville, a daughter of Francis Jones Sr. and Blanche Christy Jones.
Alice Ann was a graduate of Bentleyville High School class of 1960 and was a member of the Bentleyville United Methodist Church.
She liked all sports, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. She also enjoyed listening to WJPA oldies music, playing bingo, scratch-off lottery tickets and spending time with her friends at the Parkview Apartments in Ellsworth.
Surviving are two daughters, Amy Moon (Richard) of Ellsworth and Paula Gottheld (Scott) of Fallowfield; grandchildren, Chad DuBarr (Alicia), Richard Moon Jr., Cameron Haywood, Carina Gottheld, Bill Moon (Jessica) and Adrianna Gottheld; great-grandchildren, Joseph Moon, Connor DuBarr, Ariel Moon and Alaina DuBarr; a brother, Francis "Sonny" Jones Jr. (Darlene) of Pittsburgh.
Deceased is a daughter, Debra Haywood.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Concordia Hospice of Washington – Donnell House, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
