Amanda Mae Yater, 37, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in her home.
She was born September 3, 1984, in Washington, a daughter of Betty Spease and Joseph Miller, of Washington, and the late Earl Henry Yater Jr.
Ms. Yater attended Washington High School and worked as a customer service representative in the oil and gas industry. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her three children more than anything.
Ms. Yater was a member of Christian Church of North America.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and stepfather, are a son, Hakeem Henry Yater of Castle Shannon; two daughters, Niyah Ann Yater and Auryonna Karter Yater, both of Castle Shannon; two sisters, Jennifer (Michael) Naylor of Taylorstown, and Victoria Barney of Washington; a stepbrother, Joseph Miller Jr. of Washington; five stepsisters, Frances (Daniel) Orum of West Finley, Laura (Richard) Young of Washington, Devon (Brandon) Fore of Brewton, Ala., Kimberly Strope of Washington, and Ginger Strope of Washington; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. time of service Monday, September 27, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Joe DiDonato officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home or at www.FuneralBill.com to assist the family with funeral expenses.
