Barbara Ann Ventresca

Barbara Ann Ventresca, 90 years old of Cecil, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in her daughter's home. She was born October 4, 1934 in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Christopher "Tip" and Annie Lunson Hafenbrack. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, and enjoyed working outdoors, building Humming Bird and Butterfly Gardens and cooking and baking. She started working as a wire cutter at RCA in Meadowlands, then McCory 5 & 10 in Canonsburg, and finished as a Nursing Aide for Horizon Care in Canonsburg. Surviving are daughter, Gloria (Dennis) Chipps of Cecil; son Oliver "Yogi" (Mary) Ventresca of Cecil Twp.; grandchildren, Dawn Harrell, Adam Chipps, Kim (Rick) Perri; great- grandchildren, Josh Hubbard, Jessica (Louie) Krivanek, Gemma Chipps and Gionni, Santino and Isabella Harrell, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver Ventresca in 2009; brothers, Robert and Christopher Hafenbrack; sisters, Ada Mary Frederick, Catherine Juby and Emma Robinson. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday September 2nd at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt. 50), Cecil, PA 15321, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 10 a.m.. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
