Betty Ann Lemley

Betty Ann Lemley, 81, of Mount Morris, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025. She was born June 7, 1944, in Bobtown, the daughter of the late Chester Wayne and Katherine Elizabeth Holtz Lint. Betty Ann was a 1962 graduate of Mapletown High School. She wed her sweetheart, Gary Floyd Lemley, May 29, 1964, and they shared 55 years together until his passing December 28, 2019. Over the years, Betty Ann worked as a data processor for Bell Atlantic, Sterling Faucet, and PPG. She also worked as a housekeeper at the Friendship Inn in Morgantown, W.Va. and the Comfort Inn in Waynesburg for 20 years until her retirement. Betty Ann was a member of the Mount Morris Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Shannopin Civic Club. Betty Ann was a big-time bingo player. On any given day, you could find her surrounded by cards and daubers in either Bobtown or Waynesburg. Beyond bingo, she also took pleasure in crocheting and exploring yard sales to find her newest treasure. Betty Ann will be lovingly remembered by her son, Gary F. "Bo" Lemley, II of Morgantown; daughters, Laura K. Grubler (David) of Wheeling, W.Va. and Ginny R. Lemley of Mount Morris; grandchildren, Rachael Schmitt (Logan), Alex Grubler, Brendan Grubler, and Sean Grubler, all of Wheeling, and Marina "Munchie" Lemley of Morgantown; brothers, Tom Lint of Winchester, Va., and Roy Lint (Irene) of Wooster, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Robert Lemley (Linda) of Mount Morris, Ronald Lemley (Patricia) of Morgantown, and Rodger Lemley (Gwen) of Rogersville; sister-in-law, Shirlene Morris (David) of Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Betty Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne and Carl Lint; sister, Mary Lou Haney; brother-in-law, Vernon Haney; and sisters-in- law, Elizabeth and Alma Lint.
