Carol Parascenzo, 82, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, November 19, 2023.
She was born August 9, 1941, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Harry and Anne Deakin Schmidt.
She was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, and attended St. Patrick Church.
On August 6, 1960, she married her loving husband, Albert Parascenzo, with whom she shared over 53 years of marriage, before his passing August 6, 2013.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Carina (David) Luwisch of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Michelle Haywood of Claysville, Dina (James) Boyle of Canonsburg, Paula (Francis) Gesselberty of McMurray, and Marcy (Kevin) VonScio of Washington; eight grandchildren, Carlie Haywood, Emily Wilson, Elizabeth Gesselberty, Tonia Boyle, Joshua (Erin) Gesselberty, Drew VonScio, Kyle Vonscio and Seth Luwisch; one great- grandchild, Flynn Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry and Robert Schmidt; sisters, Doris Hall and Alice Craver.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.
