Carol J. Buresch Partezana, 86, of Coal Center, passed away Monday evening, March 21, 2022, at Transitions Healthcare, Washington.
She was born June 6, 1935, in Pittsburgh, on the H.J. Heinz Greenlawn Estate, to parents Charles and Mable Harris Buresch. Her father was a gardener for the Heinz family.
Mrs. Partezana was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, and the Bentworth Senior Center. She loved cats, gardening, arranging flowers, and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Domenick J. Partezana, whom she married on June 26, 1971.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Russell (Lois Marie), of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Daniel Russell, of Clover Hill, and Daren Russell (Shari), of Clover Hill; seven grandchildren, April Russell, Thomas Russell, Justin Russell (Megan), Brandon Russell (Brooke), Travis Russell (Rebecca), Jenna Russell, and Hannah Russell; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; step-children, Betty Jo Stahlman (Tim Forrester) of Johnstown, Kathy Farkas (Lew) of Charleroi, Domenick Partezana Jr. (Judy) of Johnston, and Donna Prevos (Phil) of Alleppo; ten step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:45 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where her funeral service will follow at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorials may be made to Bentworth Senior Center, 931 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
Private interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville will be at a later date.
