Catherine M. DiMatteo, 63, of Canonsburg, died Friday, July 5, 2019.
She was born September 18, 1955, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Oriendo and Magdalen Rozeck DiMatteo.
Catherine was a member of St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. She enjoyed needlepoint and shopping. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the food service industry at many local establishments throughout her career.
Surviving are her sisters, Deborah (Thomas) Martin of Canonsburg, Orlene (Paul Abramowitz) DeMatteo of West Falmouth, Maine and Annette (Victor) Merigo of Eighty Four; her nieces, Erin Martin, Kristen (Andrew) Reilly, Deanna DeMatteo and Shaney (Brian McClellan) Burt; great-niece Brooklynn McClellan; and great-nephew Hunter McClellan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
A departing prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Gateway Hospice, 95 W. Beau St. Suite 510, Washington, PA 15301, in Catherine's name.
