Charles Delsandro Obituary

Charles D. "Chico" Delsandro, 85, of Monongahela, passed away on Saturday September 27, 2025 at the Mon Valley Care Center, Carroll Twp.. Born November 15, 1939, in Donora, he was a son of the late Emory E. Sr. and Mary E. Kutasie Delsandro. A 1957 graduate of Charleroi High School, he served in the National Guard. Chico began working for SuperValu in Belle Vernon where he continued working for over 30 years until his retirement in 1990. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery and spending time at his cabin in Smethport, McKean County. A lifetime member of the Charleroi Archery Club, Chico played softball around the area, playing for numerous bars and clubs and continued playing in the over 70 league until he was 80. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Barle Delsandro whom he married November 1965; a son Chuck Delsandro Jr. of Monongahela; two sisters-in-laws and a brother-in-law Esther Delsandro of Finleyville and Marianne (David) Krivda of Sharon; a grandson Charles Delsandro III and his beloved dog Dudley. He was preceded in death by a brother Emory Delsandro Jr. who died August 14, 2011. The Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767 was in charge of his arrangements.
