Charles Greenlee Obituary
He was born November 25, 1956, in Washington, a son of Gaylord W. Greenlee of Claysville and the late Beatrice Menego Greenlee.
Mr. Greenlee was a 1975 graduate of Peters Township High School, where he was an avid and gifted swimmer.
For several years, he owned and operated Greenlee's Mountain Bike Shop in Prospect, Butler County.
Mr. Greenlee enjoyed riding and racing bicycles and motorcycles. He sponsored numerous motorcycle races at various locations in the tri-state area. He was an avid photographer and especially loved dogs.
Another of his passions was the annual Fourth of July celebrations at his beloved family farm.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his stepmother, Beverly of Claysville; a sister, Claudia Fanning (Lee) of Charlotte, N.C.; and a niece, Shane Killoran of New York, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15, in Claysville United Methodist Church, 1257 State Route 40, Claysville, PA 15323, with the Rev. Rico Vespa officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.

Oh Charlie, We had so much fun. Our friendship started when you woke me up throwing acorns three stories up to wake me up so I could go to the races with you. Skiing on the Youghiogheny River, rebuilding my Kawasaki 400 in Tempe Arizona...
It all feels like yesterday. I regret that I didn't hold you closer, that I wasn't a better friend. You were a great friend to me.

Dogs are a good judge of character. I remember his dogs loving him and faithfully chasing him down the single track as he rode mountain bikes. He was a great guy.

Chuck was a kind gentle soul who befriended all & especially had an affection for his golden retrievers. I had the pleasure to Mtn bike & offroad motorcycle ride with Chuck. I have fond memories of his easy going soft spoken nature. I can still envision him tucked away in his Mtn bike shop behind the counter in a lawn chair keeping the doors open even in the cold of winter. God bless you Chuck. .... Ride on my friend.

I was saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. I haven't seen Charlie in years, but have never forgotten him and the party's at the Farm house. Prayers and hugs to Charlie's family and his many friends. RIP Charlie, with fond memories.
