Charles Weaver

Charles "Bub" Weaver, 70, of Gilmore Twp., Greene County, Pa. died Monday, October 20, 2025 in the Waynesburg Health and Rehab Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health since December 2024. He was born August 15, 1955 in Jackson Twp., Greene County, Pa. a son of the late Ray "Buss" and Anna Utt Weaver and had been a resident of Gilmore Twp. since 1974. Mr. Weaver was a 1974 graduate of West Greene High School. He was an employee of the former Berdine Custom Hardwoods, the former Headlee Brothers Sawmill and was last employed as a Gilmore Twp. road supervisor prior to retiring in 2014. Mr. Weaver enjoyed farm life, raising chickens, turkeys and Hereford and Angus cattle, and also enjoyed coon and deer hunting. Surviving are a niece and caregiver, Lisa Gatrell of New Freeport, and several other nieces and nephews, great- nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Betty Morris Weaver of New Freeport and Fern Cunningham Weaver of Holbrook; a brother-in-law, P.I. Cunningham of New Freeport. Deceased in addition to his parents are three brothers, Ralph, Donley and John Weaver; two sisters, Betty Cunningham and Edna Mae (Sis) Main. Mr. Weaver was the last of his immediate family. Friends and family will be received from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., in Rogersville, Pa. on Thursday, October 23, 2025 with Rev. Vernon K. Berdine officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Twp. Greene County, Pa. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Amedisys Hospice in Masontown, Pa.
