David Suski Obituary

David Paul Suski, 71, of Mars, formally of Donora, beloved husband, proud father, cherished Pap Pap, dear brother and friend, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Hospice Care at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born on March 12, 1954, in Monongahela, to the late Chester and Mary Ina Suski. He graduated from Ringgold high school (Donora campus) in 1972, and from California University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania in 1976. He spent 35 years working for Washington County and went on to enjoy his retirement years, vacationing at the beach with his family, on the links with his golf buddies or at a fishing pond with his grandchildren. He possessed a great sense of humor and was the ultimate king of dad jokes. He maintained a strong network of lifelong friends who meant the world to him. He was a "Prayer Warrior", always steadfast in his faith and he inspired many as he fought the cancer valiantly. Most importantly, he adored his family and his legacy and memory will live on through them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Doris Rodriguez. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Diane Rodriguez Suski of Mars; loving son, and daughter-in-law, David (Shelly) Suski of Mars, adoring daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Shawn) Pratt of Valencia; and cherished grandchildren: Greyson, Oaklynn and Luca Suski, and Hudson, Cameron and Makenna Pratt. He is also survived by his brother, Ron (Lori) Suski of Hummelstown; his sister, Tammy (Ken) Barrett of New York City; brothers-in-law, Tom Rodriguez, of Belle Vernon, Ken (Susan) Rodriguez of Lewes, Del. and Barry (Nancy) Rodriguez of Bethel Park; and many very special nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 14. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, beginning with prayers of transfer in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Donora site with the Reverend Father Gerald Mikonis officiating. Procession to and interment, in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, will follow. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to Oncology Unit 9A at AGH. The excellent care, compassion, and comfort they provided during this incredibly difficult time will never be forgotten. They are angels on earth.
