Dawn Keigley Obituary

Dawn Michelle Gilpin Keigley, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully, in her home, Thursday, February 15, 2024, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. She went quietly with her husband, Shane Keigley, by her side. They found each other later in life and were dedicated to each others happiness. Dawn was born November 18, 1970, to the late Philip and Irene Gilpin of Washington. Dawn had two brothers and two sisters. Still living are her two brothers, Philip Gilpin Jr. and Raymond Wayne Gilpin of Burgettstown; as well as a sister, Susan Marie Gilpin Doak of Washington. Dawn was preceded in death another sister, Robbin Lynn Gilpin Kovatch Craig of Bentleyville. She has many nieces and nephews and cousins. On November 3, 2013, Dawn started a long and successful career as a resource specialist for Veritiv. She enjoyed her work, crafting and refinishing furniture. Her and her husband, Shane, enjoyed bike rides, relaxing at the casino, traveling, and vacationing, especially cruising. She was a beautiful person, who was kind to others. She blessed the lives of those she loved and loved her back, and created bonds that can never be broken. The memories that Dawn helped create will always be held dear, and she will be loved and missed to the ends of the earth. It was Dawn's wish to not have services and her husband and family are respecting those wishes.

Dawn and I graduated from high school together. We often sat on the Meadowlands bus. She had the most beautiful eyes and was always so kind.

My sister, my friend. I am always going to think of you, everyday, for the rest of my life. We were so close growing up and shared many memories. Your suffering is over and now you are at peace with Mom and Dad and sister Robbin.
