Debra M "Mamaw" Kushner, 67, of Bentleyville, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 16, 1955, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late John and Patricia Nowicki Parola.
Debra was a 1973 graduate of California Area High School, and also attended Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.
Mrs. Kushner was employed as a hair stylist for many years at Janet's Hair Salon in Ellsworth.
On July 3, 2003, Debra married her husband, Roderick "Rod" Kushner, who survives.
She was a member of Cokeburg Presbyterian Church, Bentleyville Recreation Board, and the Independent Club in Bentleyville.
Debra enjoyed reading, camping, and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all she cherished her grandchildren and great- grandchild.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two children, Tonya Moore (Arthur Jr.) of Clarksville, and Heath Pasqualucci (Denise) of Bentleyville; one brother, Gary Parola (Michelle); a stepdaughter, Katie Maynard of Warren; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was a brother, Donnie Parola.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, November 27, in Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville. Funeral services and interment will be private.
