Faith Dowler Obituary
She was born January 11, 2000, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Thomas and Renné Cole Dowler of Canonsburg.
She was a junior honor student at Canon-McMillan High School.
Her life revolved around her faith and church. She was a member of Central Assembly of God in Houston, where she was a student worship leader and was on the praise and worship team of the church and The Rock Student Center. Through the church, she made the national level of competition through Assembly of God Fine Arts Program. She was also involved with the youth program at Champion Christian Center and Life Church.
She was instrumental in developing the On Point Team, which was bringing the Word of God to local high school students.
She baby-sat for local families and was also employed at Coffee Express-o.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her maternal grandparents, Sherri and Jack Cole Jr. of Washington; her maternal great-grandmother, Hazel Paul Cole; aunts and uncles Melissa and Jack Cole III of Washington, Patty and Robert Dowler of Stratford, Conn., and Stephen and Katherine Dowler Murphy of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; cousins Dr. Sarah Murphy Nickolich (Dr. Myles Nickolich), Dr. Anne Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Emily and C.J. Cole, Hunter and Seth Moore and Will Himmelrick; and many friends.
She also leaves behind her two dogs, Onyx and Beauty.
Deceased are her paternal grandparents, Alan and Barbara Noel Dowler.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday in The Rock Student Center of Central Assembly of God, 2203 West Pike Street, Houston, PA 15342. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, in Central Assembly of God, 155 McGovern Road, Houston, PA 15342. Arrangements are entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Renné Dowler Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Community Bank, 65 West Chestnut Street, Washington, PA 15301.

Dear Renee' and family,
Our very deepest condolences to you and your entire family. There are no words that can be said to help you or explain why Faith was taken so soon. God just has a bigger and better job for her to do at home. I didn't know Faith but after these last few days of reading testimonials and watching the video of her giving a youth sermon and using you as her inspiration, I can only say I wish so much that I could have known her. You and your husband and your church family raised a great girl. Faith will be missed by many but will continue to affect many for time to come.

My deepest condolences on the loss of an amazing young woman. She from the beginning was a child of God and remained a child of God. I personally don't know ur family but I know if Faith was with my friend Rhoda she must of been special. I so wish more teenagers thought like Faith and would give their life to Christ our Saviour. We are grieving down here but her homecoming was amazing and absolutely where she needs to be, God has a plan and only he knows it. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

"Thy will be done" Faith was one of my best friends and I will never forget the special moments we shared throughout high school. From getting iced coffee at the Mac Mart every morning to taking about Lecrae and boys in general, Faith was one of those bright and happy friends who was also deeply emotional. That showed in her beautiful gift of poetry and her ability to use words to show the love of Christ to someone. I specifically remember her birthday party and painting her face with neon glow paint and laughing because we got it all over ourselves. Faith, I'm sure you're laughing right now thinking about how we have to do all the work in our history group while you're dancing with Jesus. While some might say it's not fair for God to have taken you so young, I just think that it's not fair that he didn't take all of us too. I love you and miss you.
