George Michael Lucchino

George Michael Lucchino passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was born December 16, 1945, in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. He was father to Tonilee Lucchino and Jackie von Thun (Troy); and grandfather to Carson Zirwas. He is also survived by his wife of 29 years, Anne Kathleen Lucchino; his stepdaughters, Jennifer Rees and Casey Colby (Stefan); and five stepgrandchildren. George was employed by Nabisco for 29 years as an operating engineer. He was also a proud veteran who began his military career in the Army and transferred to the Air National Guard, where he retired after 29 years of services. George enjoyed spending time on his farmland, welding and researching his ancestry. After years of searching for one half of his family, he finally met the Waskowiaks several years ago. He was thrilled to meet them and loved their kindness towards him. George was loved by his daughters and entire family, as well as many friends. In lieu of flowers, his daughters request donations to the American Heart Association, in his memory. May George, loving father and friend, rest in peace.
