Harry Morgan Obituary

Harry A. "Hezzie" Morgan, 89, of Washington, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Golden LivingCenter, Canonsburg, following a brief illness.
He was born April 24, 1927, in Washington, a son of the late Evan R. and Effie L. Hutchison Morgan.
Mr. Morgan attended 5th Ward and Washington High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, receiving the Victory World War II Medal and American Area Medal.
He was employed by Universal Cyclops for 18 years and Pella Window & Door as a service manager, until his retirement.
For 65 years, Mr. Morgan was a very active member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was chairman of the booster club, served on the bazaar committee, worked fish fries, delivered meals and drove the senior citizen van.
He was a member of Pulaski Club, Independent Club and Knights of Columbus Council 1083 in Washington. He had worked with PONY League World Series.
Mr. Morgan was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Notre Dame fan.
On March 28, 1951, he married Veronica A. "Ronnie" Manion, who survives. They most recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Loretta A. (John) Niemiec of Moundsville, W.Va., Elaine (Edward) Morascyzk of Washington, Harry A. (Debbie) Morgan Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and Cathy (Ed) Twele of Westminster, Colo.; brothers and sisters Lawrence (Kay) Morgan of Washington, William "Bill" Morgan of Washington, Joan DePaoli of Washington and Barbara (Dan) Gagich of Washington; 11 grandchildren, Rebecca (Michael) Haller, Erin (Adam) Goodykoontz, Jonathan (Amy) Niemiec, Angela (T.J.) Srsic, Kristen (Mark) Lesako, E.J. (Stacey) Morascyzk, Brian (Nikki) Morgan, Gregory Morgan, Victoria (Will) Thompson, Lauren Twele (Josh Vasu) and Meghan Twele; 13 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, William, Annabelle, Juliette, Alex, Audrey, Dante, Dominic, Izzy, Ethan, Emma, Lila and Ava; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Veronica Jean Morgan, and seven brothers and sisters, Gertrude Taylor, Margaret Richmond, John Morgan, Evan Morgan, Rachel Kinkel, Mary Ann Guido and Richard Morgan.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where a prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 28, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. William P. Feeney, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 and U.S. Navy. Knights of Columbus Council 1083 will recite the rosary at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to John F. Kennedy Catholic School Scholarship Fund, 111 West Spruce Street, Washington, PA 15301.

Hezzie was a great guy. I remember all the fun we had at Aunt Grace's house on Sundays. I remember my Dad, Eddy Manion, Uncle John and Hezzie making for a lot of laughs. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ronnie Ann and the family.
