Heather Brooke Cushey

Heather Brooke Cushey, 59, of Eighty Four, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 21, 2024, in her home. She was born February 5, 1964, in McKeesport, a daughter of David Allen Keffer, II and Naomi Frances Stange Keffer. Heather was a 1982 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a former member of the 4H Club. She was employed at Saybolt Core Laboratories, in Pittsburgh, for 30 years as a chemical analyst. Heather loved cooking and creating stained glass. She enjoyed horseback riding and barrel racing. She was always happy and fun to be with. She is survived by her husband, Aaron "Muskie" Cushey, with whom she celebrated 24 years of marriage August 26, 2023; daughter, Meadow Cushey, who is currently serving in the United States Navy in San Antonio, Texas; son, Max Cushey, at home; brother, Jack Strange and wife Sharon of West Newton; and sister, Jody Van Voorhis and husband Bob of Finleyville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Fuller and Cheryl Finch; and a brother, David A. Keffer, III.
