J. Kattan Obituary

J. Richard "Dick" Kattan, 77, of Canonsburg, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born September 27, 1940, in Latrobe, a son of the late Paul and Catherine O'Brien Kattan.

He lived in the Canonsburg area for 25 years.

Mr. Kattan served with the U.S. Army and had been a member of the American Legion.

A graduate of Robert Morris Business School and University of Pittsburgh, he had been employed in accounting with Roy F. John's Associates prior to his retirement.

Mr. Kattan enjoyed walking and was an avid bowler in various leagues, including Meth-O-Men and Lawn Bowling Club in Frick Park.

Surviving are two sons, Brian Kattan of Oakdale and Jeffrey (Suzan) Kattan of Glenshaw; a brother, Kenneth Kattan of Greensburg; and three grandchildren, Rachel, Leah and Samuel Kattan.

In honor of Mr. Kattan's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, and interment in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full military honors, will be private.

Richard was a wonderful person whom I met through my cousin Cecelia Rosella!! Her and her deceased husband were friends for a long time with them both!!! Richard was also a loving person and loved his Catholic Church and delicated slot OF himself to Help people!! May God Shine upon Him!!!
