James Donley Obituary

James W. Donley, 91, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in Madison Center, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born October 6, 1925, in Dellslow, W.Va., a son of the late Charles and Beryl Haines Donley.
Mr. Donley retired from the U.S. Army June 31, 1976, with more than 20 years of service. He served in Belgium in World War II, and also served during the Korean conflict and Vietnam Era. He received various decorations and citations, including a Bronze Star.
Upon his return home from the military, he worked as a supply clerk at T&T Machine Co. in Fairmont, W.Va., until his retirement.
He was a member of Zion Lodge 1, F&AM, in Detroit, Mich., from where he received his 50-year pin in 2015.
Mr. Donley was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan and gardener. He enjoyed reading and decorating his yard for Christmas.
He was the last of his immediate family and was loved by all his nieces and nephews.
On March 22, 1974, he married Sally A. Baynard, who survives.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his first wife, Iris McDougal Donley, and two brothers, Charles and Donald Donley.
