Jeffrey Tracey Obituary

Jeffrey Elton Tracey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away peacefully at his home in Washington, Sunday, October 19, 2025, with his family by his side. Born November 1, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Jeffrey lived a life that was marked by devotion to his family and an unwavering dedication to his career. Jeffrey's professional journey was anchored at Washington Hospital, where he worked tirelessly for 41 years, culminating in the role of pharmacist before his retirement in 2024. He graduated from Moon Township High School and furthered his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, laying the foundation for a career that was both impactful and respected. As a multifaceted individual, Jeffrey was known for his kind nature, adventurous spirit, and remarkable ability to connect with others. He was a devoted husband to Denise Korowicki Tracey, whom he met in college and married August 14, 1982; and dear son of Mary Vogel Tracey. Jeff cherished his role as a father to his two sons, Christopher (Tomee Jo) Tracey, and Matthew (Anthony) Tracey. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Kennedy, Kyler and Jaxton Tracey, who will forever treasure the memories of their time with their "Pap Pap." In addition to his family ties, Jeffrey was a proud brother to Jenine Tracey, Leslie (James) Mercer, Laura (Michael) Armstrong, John (Linda) Tracey, and Stephen (Julie) Tracey. He is also survived by his father- in-law and mother-in- law, Robert "Lucky" and Catherine "Winnie" Korowicki, Karen (Josef Laabs) Korowicki, Joyce (Carmen) Perry; and sister-in-law, Marybeth Head. Jeffrey was predeceased by his father, John J. Tracey; as well as nephews, Eric Mercer and Sean Tracey; and brother-in-law, William Korowicki. Jeffrey's passions extended beyond his career and family. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Pulaski Golf League for many years. He was a member of the 1781 Golf Club and enjoyed the pinochle league, indulging in good cigars, bourbon and traveling, especially on his beach trips to North Carolina with cherished family and friends. His enthusiasm for renovations and repairing items reflected his generous spirit, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. As we reflect on the life of Jeffrey Elton Tracey, we remember him as a man of great character, whose bright spirit touched all who knew him. His kindness, warmth, adventurous nature and ability to lighten a situation with his quick wit will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the SPHS Connect, Inc. to provide safe and stable housing for individuals and families at need (SPHS Connect Inc., 300 Chambers Plaza, Charleroi, PA 15022). Friends and family are invited to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 23. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington, PA 15301.
