John Dick Obituary
He was born June 7, 1938 in Clairton, a son of Thomas and Grace Stoddart Dick.
He retired as a yard manager from the former West Elizabeth Lumber Co.
He was a member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park, Stephen Bayard Lodge 526 F&AM in Elizabeth, where he was a past master, Shriners and Tall Cedars.
He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and spending time with family, especially during holiday seasons.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Smith Dick; a son, John Dick Jr. and wife Tina of Clairton; two daughters, Janet Pickering and husband John of Baldwin and Daneen Thumm of Clairton; a brother, Danny Dick of Brooksville, Fla; a sister, Helen Burwell of West Mifflin; two granddaughters, Lisa and Stephanie Pickering; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, with Pastor Adam Osier officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.

My heart goes out to the Dick Family at this sad time. Mr. Dick was always there for the kids on Delano Drive for any reason. Mr. Dick was willing to teach or help with anything that he could. A man with a big smile and a gentle heart. He walks with the Lord now, God Bless the Dick Family.
