Karen L. Davison, 75, of Washington, died Friday, August 20, 2021, in Acuity Specialty Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.
She was born December 8, 1945, in Fort Lewis, Wash., a daughter of Thomas and Madolyn Simpson Ellwood.
Mrs. Davison was member of the Church of the Covenant, Washington, and a past worthy matron of Martha V. Paul Chapter #404 Order of Eastern Star.
She retired from the Fort Cherry School District in 2003 after teaching for 36 years.
On November 21, 1969, in the Church of the Covenant, she married Gerald A. Davison Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Gerilee Davison of Washington; a sister, Sharon (Bruce) McCullough of Philadelphia; two nieces, Sarah Cornwell and Rebekah Bergey.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, in the Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor, Dr. Lawrence K. Donovan, director. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 26, in Church of the Covenant, 267 E. Beau Street, Washington. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Martha V. Paul Chapter #404 Order of Eastern Star will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Memorial Fund at Church of the Covenant.

So sorry to hear this. My husband´s class was the first year she taught! I also had her at Hickory Elementary and then had the pleasure of working with her at Fort Cherry. She always had a smile on her face. What a legacy students she leaves behind who will always remember her. Rest easy Mrs. Davison.
