Lucy Jeffries Obituary

Lucy Loretta Jeffries, 87, of Washington, died Saturday, October 20, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born August 29, 1931, in Buffalo Township, a daughter of the late Claude F. Ball and Hazel V. McKean Ball.

Lucy retired from the housekeeping department at Washington Hospital.

She was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church, Washington.

Lucy liked crocheting, shopping, puzzles, going out to lunch and Eeyore. Lucy loved her dog, Tiny, and her cat, Baxter.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy V. (Francis Sr.) Moore of Washington and Vicki L. Knestrick of Washington; two grandchildren, Melinda (Fred Sr.) Riggle and Francis (Ashley) Moore Jr., both of Washington; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her siblings, Margaret Parkinson, Betty Graham, Mary Ball and William Ball.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Wednesday, October 24, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
