Lula Alene Davis Pratt

Lula Alene Davis Pratt, 94, of Washington, died Thursday, October 30, 2025 in Peters Township Post Acute Care, Canonsburg. She was born one of 11 children to the late Karl and Mabel Marshall Davis. She was a 1950 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School. She worked as a manager for Fashion Bug clothing stores. Lula was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church. She was a member of Lone Pine School Parent-Teacher Association, was a Girl Scout leader, and belonged to a dartball and bowling league. She had a passion for baking, sewing, crafting and cooking. She also loved children and enjoyed spending some time gambling. In 1954, she married Herbert E. Pratt Sr., with whom she shared 45 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. Together they raised three children, Linda Meeks, Herbert Pratt Jr. and wife Diana, and Barbara McCarty. Surviving, in addition to her children, are grandchildren, Lisa Bell Henry (Randy), Michael Bell, Christopher McCarty and Courtney McCarty. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Alyson Kessinger, Abbygail Kessinger, William Sutherland IV, Wyatt Sutherland, and Nathan Bell; siblings, Ruth Barnhart (Larry), Donna Shaffer (William), Vickie Steinmiller, Jerry Davis (Sue), Paula Gifford (Jim), Pamela Beerbower (the late Ken); brother-in-law, Richard Patterson. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are siblings, Margaret (Harold) Kennedy, Milton (Faye) Davis, Harold (Irmheld) Davis, Robert "Bob" (Mary) Davis, Shirley Patterson; her grandson, Keith Kessinger; great- grandson, Chandler Kessinger. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 6, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 7, with Shaun O'Hern officiating.
