Jeremy, Nathan, Corey, Jayme, Jerry:
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom/wife.
A lot of really good childhood memories with you guys running around the neighborhood, woods, creek, wiffleball, causing mischief and having fun.
Again, my condolences and you guys take care.

One of my most cherished memories of Marcia, my mother-in-law, is her unwavering commitment to her children. When my husband, Nathan Kalka, and I met over 13 years ago, Marcia worked two jobs. We had many conversations about her working two jobs, and she did that for many years. Her dedication to her work was not just about providing for the family, but it was a testament to the legacy she was building for her family. She rarely missed work and had a resounding work ethic, a trait she instilled in all her children. I admired how hard she worked for the family and to provide.
One memory that stands out of Marcia is the joy and fun she had when we all went to Florida together. Marcia, Jerry, Nathan, and I went on many vacations together over the years, and she grew fond of Florida. She enjoyed cocktails that were "fruity or sweet" and would sit on the beach with me. These were the moments when we let our hair down and laughed with each other while Nathan and Jerry were in the water fishing together. She always enjoyed dressing up for dinner when we would go out, making sure she wore a new outfit. I enjoyed our dinners at the house, and she always asked me if I was preparing everything in advance. Haha She did enjoy the cheesy potatoes. I will forever treasure our phone calls (mostly about our new cat Charlie and what we had planned for dinner each evening), our memories of Florida as a family, and the times we spent together. I am thankful I had a mother-in-law who loved and cared about me; she knew how much I loved her son and that I had unwavering support for the family.
Marcia, you will be deeply missed, but I know you will live on through your children and the family. We will continue to make you proud and we love you very much!

I lived across the street from the Kalkas, and was good friends with the Kalka boys. I remember Marcia well. R.I.P.
