Marian Peyton Gottschalk

Marian Peyton Gottschalk, 80, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born on November 22, 1944, to Zander and Florence Ayres Peyton. Marian received her Master of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University and was a devoted and compassionate registered nurse who dedicated her life to caring for others. On October 1, 1971, Marian married the love of her life, Thomas. Together they shared 54 years and built a beautiful life grounded in faith, commitment, and family. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Marian's greatest joy came from her family. She cherished every moment spent with them. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and supported. She enjoyed helping her children with their 4-H projects, baking cakes amongst other homemade pies and dinners. Marian's kindness, patience, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Marian is survived by her sons, Brian (Amy) Gottschalk and Brett (Kristen) Gottschalk; daughters, Rebecca Gottschalk and Bonnie Jean (Bob Lawrence) Wetzel; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
