Marian Hoy

Marian R. Haught Hoy, 73, of Waynesburg, died at noon Wednesday, August 19, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., after being in declining health for two years.
She was born Saturday, July 11, 1942, in Terra Alta, W.Va., a daughter of the late Archibald Haught and Pauline Williston Haught.
Mrs. Hoy was a member of Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed gardening and landscaping. She loved hosting Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Easter at her home and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. With her husband, Nelson, and her brother-in-law, the late Robert Hoy, she owned and operated Hoy Redi-Mix in Morgantown and Hoy Construction in Waynesburg for 35 years.
On March 7, 1965, she married Charles Nelson Hoy, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Kimberley (Scott) Campbell of Palmyra, Kelly (Scott) Kiger of Waynesburg and Kerry (Chris) Hepler of Oil City; a son, Charles Toby Hoy of Maidsville, W.Va.; a special daughter, Dori (Mike) Eddy of Holbrook; six grandchildren, Josee Campbell, Jade Kiger, Elijah Kiger, Jerica Hepler, Taylor Hepler and Charles Tyler Hoy; a sister, Shirley (Lee) Goozdich of Fredericktown; two brothers, Franklin (Joanne) Haught of Las Cruces, N.M., and Ronald (Debbie) Haught of Staley, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, with the Rev. Joseph Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
