Marlene Jean Mitchell, 87, of Canonsburg, died Friday, October 8, 2021, in Country Meadows.
She was born December 2, 1933, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Marie A. Paskert Spang.
Marlene was a homemaker and a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, where she sang in the choir. She also sang in the Sweet Adeline's group. Marlene was a member of the Cecil #3 Ladies Auxiliary and the McDonald-Cecil Senior Citizens. She enjoyed bowling and meeting friends at the Senior Center.
Surviving are two sons, Mike (Sheri) Mitchell and Tom (Jacklyn) Mitchell, both of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Jessica (Todd) Rainey, Brittany (Zachary) Behe and Katey Mitchell, all of Canonsburg, and Chad Mitchell of Canton, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Henry Rainey, and Kalvin Behe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Joseph Repko; second husband, Robert Mitchell; a brother, Donald Spang; a daughter, Diane Repko; and a granddaughter, LeeAnn Mitchell.
Friends will be received 9 to 11:30 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said, Wednesday, October 13, in the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Miller Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass in Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary's Church, Wednesday, at 12 p.m., with Father David Rombold officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cecil.
