What an amazing person Maureen was! I'm so thankful to have known her. She had great stories and a whole lot of fun snarkiness that I have missed every day since quitting at Cadence and will continue to miss. My heart breaks for all her loved ones, but I pray she's left you all with a bit of her fire and spunk to live life well, and many memories to cherish.

My daughter had Maureen as a 6th Grade teacher at Laytonsville ES in Maryland and remembers her fondly. She was always kind, fair and even keeled. Her students looked forward to coming in from recess because Maureen would read fiction aloud to her 6th graders.
I myself taught in the same school and knew Maureen as an excellent teacher who always had a smile and a moment to chat with colleagues.

With heartfelt sympathy to her family,

Maureen was a childhood friend. I knew the family well. I was saddened by today 's news. I prefer to think of her as not gone but as the poem says "Beyond the wall". I will not say goodbye but till we meet again. My condolences to the Curry family. I will never forget you. Deborah Alton Partezana

We want to express our condolences to Maureen's entire family. We are so very sorry. Maureen treasured her family of whom she spoke of so proudly. Ryan and "daughter," Sarah, and her precious grandchildren -- Lauran, Lukas, and Heidi. Maureen sent a picture of the family to us which we have kept. She gave updates on Ryan and Ann. Maureen's children and grandchildren brought her much happiness. She would love to tell stories of her siblings and the Curry family. For her friends, although not blood relatives, we felt as if we were her extended family. Maureen was a true blessing. Her wonderful smile and her warm personality was always so endearing and sincere. She was generous to others with her time and touched the lives of those around her including her many students. Maureen will be greatly missed.

With Our Deepest Sympathy,

Mary Anne & Bill Dollar and family

I met Maureen in 2017 and she was easily one of the best people I have ever known. She was kind, wise, and one of the best story tellers. She touched the lives of everyone she met, whether it was a short interaction or a lifelong friend. I loved her dearly and I am honored to have learned so much from her. I am a better person because I had her in my life and her presence will be missed for the rest of mine.

We were so sorry to learn of the passing of Maureen. We have been friends with her since our early days on Weathervane Place in Montgomery Village. She was a great neighbor, gifted teacher, and wonderful friend. We will miss Maureen. I will always remember her kindness, her great sense of humor, and her love for her family.
