Michael A. Kaempf, 55, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 8, 2020. He was born March 7, 1965, in Green Bay, Wis., a son of Fred Kaempf of Canonsburg and the late Nancy Peters Kaempf.
Mike had been a truck driver and involved in the construction trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cigars, and spending time with family, especially his youngest daughter, Aniya. He was a Christian who proudly served with the United States Marine Corps.
Left behind to cherish his memory, in addition to his father, are his beloved children, Zachary M. (Jessica) Kaempf of Meadow Lands, Sara M. Kaempf and Benjamin M. Kaempf of Washington, and Aniya M. Wilson of New Kensington; his grandson, Kai W. Kaempf of Meadowlands; his brother, Daniel Kaempf of Canonsburg; his former wife and friend, Carolyn Kaikaka of Washington;, Aniya's mother, Paradise Wilson of New Kensington; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and close friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, August 12, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Private services will be held at noon and interment, with full military honors accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Honor Guard, will take place at 1 p.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Michael was a straight forward guy,no nonsense!! He loved the outdoors and being around anyone who would hold an intelligent conversation!!! Rest easy Mike
