Nancy Anne Swartz, 73, of Claysville, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021, at Transitions Healthcare in Washington, after a lingering illness.
She was born September 25, 1947 in Washington, daughter of the late Glenn and Anna Mae Applegate Swartz. Nancy resided in Claysville her entire life after graduating from McGuffey High School class of 1965. She attended Penn Commercial Business College.
Nancy enjoyed stamp collecting, reading, and traveling to 48 states. She also loved spending holidays with her family in Wheeling. She was a beloved Christian and enjoyed attending Christ Methodist Church in Wheeling, W.Va.
Nancy is survived by two aunts, Martha and Becky Applegate of Wheeling W.Va.; uncle, John Applegate of Canton, Ohio; two special friends, Heike Mills and Cheryl Lockhard; as well as her family at Liberty Dialysis in Washington.
She is preceded in death by her brother Richard Swartz.
A special thank you to Dr. Landowitch, the staff at Transitions, and Liberty Dialysis for their care and support over the years.
As per Nancy's request, all arrangements will be private.
