Nona Mims Obituary
She was born January 19, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence and Leathie Ware Davis.
Ms. Mims was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School and attended Penn Commercial.
She had worked in home health care for children.
Ms. Mims was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, Washington.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and the children she took care of.
Surviving are a son, Darnell Mims of Washington; two brothers, Samuel Lynn Marshall Sr. (Mary) of San Francisco, Calif., and Bradford A. Mims (Leslie) of Washington; a nephew, Samuel Lynn Marshall Jr.; a niece, Briyana J. Mims; and a host of cousins and friends.
Deceased are a son, Jamille Parker; a brother, Willie Gerald Mims; and a sister, Lorna Rose Mims.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m., the time of a service, Saturday, February 13, in Nazareth Baptist Church, 123 North Lincoln Street, Washington, PA 15301.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
