I have been blessed to have my Aunt Pat a special part of my life through the years! She was the best story teller and I treasured the family history details she shared about her mom's side of the family (Yonke) as well as her dad's side (Mckay's). Aunt Pat had a wonderful recollection and she was able to describe these family events, the family members, and their journey through life that made it seem so real that I felt that I was witnessing it firsthand! She had a sparkle of laughter, wit, loyalty, compassion, kindness, and thoughtfulness. When my mom (her sister) passed away, I reached out even more to reconnect with my Aunt Pat who supported me as not only my Aunt, but also a friend to help me through the grief, sadness, and void of the loss of my mom. I will always remember her for her words, love, and encouragement.
