Paul Kulla Obituary

Paul Joseph Kulla, 64, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

He was born August 31, 1957 in Washington, the son of the late Joseph F. and Ann M. Lukas Kulla.

Mr. Kulla was a member of St. James Parish in Washington, and attended mass regularly at St. Hilary Church, and Immaculate Conception Church.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren, enjoyed wood working, and was a long time Scoutmaster for the local Boy Scout Troop Camp #1103.

He enjoyed camping, time at the cabin in Potter County, family trips to Mexico, and going to his children's and grandchildren's activities and events. Family was always his priority as he was the heartbeat of his family.

Paul was a self-employed independent building contractor and owner of Paul Kulla Home Improvements.

On December 1, 1979 in St. Hilary Church in Washington, he married Lynn Marie Worobec with whom he celebrated over 41 years of marriage.

Surviving is a daughter Brandy (Jim) Steenson of Carnegie; two sons, Christopher (Stefanie) Kulla of Washington, and Cody (Valerie) Kulla of Cecil.

Also surviving are two sisters, Patricia Kulla and Janet Kulla, both of Washington; and six grandchildren, Taylor, Allison, Lexie, Logan, Olivia, and Cecilia.

Additionally surviving is an aunt, Frances Applegate of Washington; and an uncle and aunt Paul and Virginia Lukas of Washington; and many extended family members.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 18, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.

Departing prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday October 19, 2021 in the funeral home, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hilary Church.

Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Peters Township.

Due to the current COVID-19 circumstances, the family respectfully requests that all in attendance please wear a face mask.
