Penny L. Ellis Vilchek, 70, of Finleyville, Ginger Hill, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, in her home.
Born September 3, 1947, in Monongahela, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ethelwyn Croft Ellis.
A homemaker, she was a 1966 graduate of Monongahela High School. She was Presbyterian and enjoyed going to bingo with friends, especially at Valley Inn Social Hall.
Surviving are sons Rob Ellis of Midland, Joseph A. and wife Vicki Vilchek of Adah, David T. and wife Michelle Vilchek of West Newton and Michael A. and Chrissy Vilchek of Matthews, N.C.; a brother, Eric Ellis of Finleyville; 14 grandchildren, Joseph, Donald (Tiffany), Brianna, Gabriella, David, Alexander, Natalie and Kristen Vilchek, Rachel (Clem) Law and Madison Clem, Nicholas, Vivian and Emelia and Ezra Ellis; and four great-grandchildren, Weston, Scarlett and Brycen Vilchek and Peyton Law.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph E. Vilchek, who died June 18, 2016; brother William Ellis, who died August 12, 2012; daughter-in-law Dana Ellis, who died February 24, and a nephew, Leif Ellis who died in 2008.
A memorial gathering will be held for both Mrs. Vilchek and her husband Joe from noon to 1 p.m Sunday, November 12, in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her memory to American Heart Association at AHA, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693. Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063, 724-258-6767, was in charge of the arrangements.

Aunt Penny I will always be glad that we had this last year filled with special memories. Watching Steeler and Penguin games on TV together. Baking cookies with you, Angie, Carrie and Maria last year at Christmas time. I will cherish all those memories. Please tell my Nunny I Love her and Miss her so much everyday.
