Ronald Blackhurst Obituary

Ronald Day Blackhurst, 80, of Canonsburg, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington. He was born April 14, 1945, in Washington, a son of the late Edward Blackhurst and Helen Day Blackhurst. Ron had music in his soul and the dance moves to prove it. He especially loved jazz, blues and Big Band music. He was an extremely proud father and grandfather and loved nothing more than cooking for and spending time with his family. On November 13, 1965, he married Michele "Mickey" Simon Blackhurst, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jason (Michelle) Blackhurst; two daughters, Kimberly Blackhurst and Jodi (Timothy) Dunkle; grandchildren, Mitchell Blackhurst, Elliott Blackhurst, Charles Blackhurst and Lorelei Blackhurst; a brother, Gary (Carolyn) Blackhurst; his granddogs, Bailey, Buttons, Azura, Stella, and Velvet the cat; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
