Samuel Joseph Giacchetto

Samuel Joseph Giacchetto, 77, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sam was born in Neptune, New Jersey, a son of Samuel and Florina Giacchetto, and brother of Veronica D'Agostino. He was a graduate of Neptune High School and completed Journeyman School to become an Electrician. Sam was a Union Electrician, working out of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5 in Pittsburgh and Local 400 in New Jersey. He was a member of Revival Today Church and walked closely with the Lord. Sam loved to tackle a project and his motto was "we'll make it work." He enjoyed watching the Steelers, the Penguins and the Pirates. He devoted his life to his family, which consisted of his wife of 54 years, Linda; his son, Jeff (Darcie); his daughter, Jennifer (Anthony); his four grandsons: Zak, Roman, Baron and Samuel; and his only granddaughter, Zoe. Sam led life by a quiet example that displayed the strength of his character and the depth of his integrity. He left a resounding effect on everyone who had the gift of knowing him. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, April 20, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Jonathan Shuttlesworth. Burial, with Military Honors, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
