1938 - 2023

Sandra Leah Presto, 85, of McDonald, died Friday, December 22, 2023, in St. Clair Health, after a long illness. She was born July 9, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Daniel Phillip Clifford and Elizabeth Mae Freese Clifford. She was a former member of Cecil American Legion, and the Alpine Club in Washington. She enjoyed trips to the casinos, and decorating her house. She had an addiction to QVC and Amazon, was opinionated, bullheaded, too caring and gave too much. Sandy worked at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh and then Superior Valve in Washington for many years before retirement. She had many fun times and stories shared by fellow employees. After many single years she finally said yes to marriage. Richard Presto was the lucky man who shared many years of fun with her. He died in 2011. Surviving are brother, Dr. Daniel Clifford III of the state of California; stepchildren, Perri Presto of Ohio, Kelly Owens of Indiana, and Tina Douglas of Oklahoma; and five nieces and nephew including a special nephew, William Slack. She had a few special friends and caretakers, who cared for her in the last years, whom she was most thankful for. In addition to her husband, Richard, she was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Donna Jean Torchia. A graveside service and inurnment will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
