Sarah B. Carroll Clutter, 89, of West Finley, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
She was born January 12, 1933, in Richhill Township, a daughter of the late James and Orpha Cleo Allum Carroll Staggers.
Sarah was a graduate of Richhill High School in 1952. She was an active member of Windy Gap Presbyterian Church, member of the Graysville Senior Center and loved playing Cinch with her friends there. Sarah belonged to the West Finley Friendship Club. She was an avid sports fan of the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins and tried to watch every game. Sarah loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a loving and inspirational mother and grandmother and a true friend to all that was blessed to know her.
She married Bob A. Clutter on September 18,1952, and was happily married for 41 years until the time of his passing.
Surviving are two daughters, Anita (Melvin) Devenney and Vickie (Doug) Parson both of West Finley; four grandchildren, Mel (Kylie) Devenney of Prosperity, Jeremy (Victoria) Devenney of Claysville, Natasha (Jon Brown) Parson of New Freeport, and Soren (Shelby) Parson of Cameron, WV; seven great- grandchildren, Aydea, Kolbie, Xander, Haisley, Shiloh, little Jeremy and the newest, Colt, all of whom she loved very much; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Mary Lou Amos of Graysville; one stepsister, Mary Kiger of Prosperity.
Deceased in addition to her parents is a stepfather, Milo Staggers; two brothers, Harry and Bud Carroll; two sisters, Joanne Hamilton and Jean Davis; one stepbrother, Dale Staggers; two half-brothers, Ben and Mike Staggers; two step sisters, Brenda Finnigan, and Carol Ann Dye.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, in the funeral home with Pastor George Crawford, officiating. She will be laid to rest by her husband's side at Mount View Cemetery, Dallas, WV.
