Stephanie Lapping Obituary

Stephanie Kay Lapping, 84, of Waynesburg, died Thursday, May 23, 2024, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born September 2, 1939, in Mather, a daughter of the late Steve and Susan Gesnick Topor Sr. Stephanie was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson High School. She had worked as a seamstress at the former Greenway Shirt Manufacturing, Waynesburg. On August 4, 1962, she married Richard B. Lapping, who died February 12, 2014. Surviving is a granddaughter, Amber (Justin) Brown of Zelienople; a great-granddaughter, Daphne Brown; two sisters, Sylvia "Jean" Toporcer of Ruffsdale and Sonia Elders of Peru, Ind. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a son, Richard B. Lapping Jr.; three sisters: Stella Golitko, Shirley Mahle and Sunday Topor; and two brothers, Steve Topor Jr. and Stanley Topor. Private Services have been entrusted to the Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370. Condolences may be expressed at www.behmfh.com.
