Virginia Engle Obituary

August 7, 1942 June 20, 2025 Virginia Lee Bell Engle, 82, of South Strabane, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, in her home. She was born on August 7, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of the late J. Harlan Bell and Kathryn R. O'Donnell. Virginia was a 1960 graduate of Avella High School. She worked for a number of years as a customer service representative at Washington Federal Bank and previously 17 ½ years at Mellon Bank. Virginia loved being a grandma and enjoyed coin collecting and going to the Casinos. She LOVED the Steelers and had been a season ticket holder since the 70's. Surviving are a daughter, Cindy L. (Brian) Shaw; brother, William James A. Bell of Napa, California; and granddaughter, Samantha Shaw. In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Carter. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., the hour of service, on Monday, June 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Virginia's memory to the Mel Blount Youth Home, 6 Mel Blount Drive, Claysville, PA 15323.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family Cindy
You mom was the best she always made everyone laugh. We had a lot of good times working together at Mellon Bank and WFB. I'll always remember her when I look at my Lily of the Valley, she gave me years ago.
