Dearest Aunt Jannie, Joni and Mario,
We want you to know how deeply saddened we have been contemplating your loss. Uncle John was a very good man, whose very presence made this world a better place. We count ourselves fortunate that we were privileged to have known him.
We will remember always his spirited personality and how kind, thoughtful and respectful he was. We believe he would have wanted his family and friends to remember him that way.
We will miss his weekly telephone calls as well as his yearly visits to Cumberland, Maryland. We cherish fondly the times and memories we have shared together and will always keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a restful eternal peace
May we all forever hold him in our hearts.
With Much Love,
Joe and Karen

I will miss Uncle John very much and in many ways. His sense of humor as well as his sarcasm will always be remembered. However, what I will especially remember and what I appreciate about him the most was the way that he took care of his family. Married for 55 years and a devoted husband and father is an example all men should strive to follow.
When my mother was ill and in the hospital, nursing home, or hospice for 16 months, he faithfully brought Aunt Jannie, her sister, to visit her every week. Those visits meant so much to my mom during that difficult time. It certainly wasn't convenient for him to drive Jannie from Pasadena to Conroe every week for the visit, but he did it because he loved her and her sister. I will forever be grateful for that.
My prayers are with you. God bless you Uncle John until we meet again!
